Just saw a very serious tumblr post refer to adults age 25+ as “older adults.” I am begging you kids to go outside and interact with diverse groups of people. Please. It’s for your own good.
The human lifespan, according to tumblr:
Birth to 17.99999999 years: Child. Doesn’t matter where you fall in that range. You are a helpless, innocent child.
18-approximately 21 years: Adult. Full internet privileges!
21-25 years: Sketchy adult. You can stay, but you’re on thin fucking ice.
25 years to end of life: Senior citizen. Old fart. Washed up has-been with nothing to contribute to society who should never socialize below their age bracket. Also probably a pedophile.

C.S. Lewis was a genius when it came to talking about storytelling for children and when he said “The child as reader is neither to be patronized nor idolized: we talk to him as man to man” I think Lucas did just that in the OT; he took the children seriously while ST both patronized and idolized it’s protagonist and didn’t care about the children at all but at the same time sent them a very patronizing message.

Hello Nonny
Honestly C S Lewis and many of the writers of those times took their job as storytellers to kids seriously. You can see it in even Martin;s books, in Tolkien’s letters and words and essays, I think it also does in with the fact people , as adults understood what they do for kids is a matter of utmost seriousness and children , at least in terms of education deserve some serious respect. So you cannot just bumble in and write whatever the f*ck you want and go away.
DLF’s current situation is that they don’t think of children as anything more than tantrum throwing numbers on paper who could force their parents to buy toys for them. They mean nothing more to them. Especially in Cinema , which now its clear they say they want to cater to kids, but really, they want to cater to the kid’s parents, the one who is actually buying the tickets and the toys. Kid’s and their interest don’t matter. The parent with the twitter account does.
This is why the last movie, the creators don’t even mention what this movie would mean for kids because they don;t care. They made a movie which Kids cannot relate to because it was specifically made for an adult JJ Abrams , assuaging all the wishlist he has been compiling his entire career since he was a child himself! No refinement and cross check necessary, after all its not for you little duckie!
Heck if his comments regarding what his son thought about Anakin is to go about, its possible he thinks kids are stupid and they need to be forced to learn what to think or do.
Kenneth Branagh wouldn’t do this to me or the kids and you can see it in his movie in Cinderalla on how he lovingly and most upliftingly made his movie because he knows kids love this. You don’t need to hear his BTS commentary where he goes on and on about kids this, kids that. He never even considered what adults would say.
They made a movie where we’re told three different times that kids are abducted into the First Order, separated from their families, and brainwashed to fight for the opposite side. Then the end of that movie shows the “good guys” killing them, shooting them down by entire shipfulls, with no remorse or attempt at communication.

THIS. This is why this movie sucks.
“So I had them jumping about 60 feet in the air, taking off and jumping 60 feet traveling about 100 feet and landing, no mats or anything. And he was doing that on a wire himself and he looked good doing it as well”-Eunice Huthart re: #AdamDriver and his TROS stunts
Cheat Sheets for Writing Body Language
We are always told to use body language in our writing. Sometimes, it’s easier said than written. I decided to create these cheat sheets to help you show a character’s state of mind. Obviously, a character may exhibit a number of these behaviours. For example, he may be shocked and angry, or shocked and happy. Use these combinations as needed.
I’ve reblogged and tagged this before, but can never find it when I need it!
